This is a just a brief synopsis on how to go through the steps of creating a website/blog. It’s a basic version of the necessary steps but if you’re ready to go right out of the box, this process will enable you to get the process going quickly.
Step 1-Buy Hosting
The first step is to buy hosting. Most hosting sites allow you to buy a web address as part of the package, so if you don’t have one yet, you can buy it as part of the purchase of hosting. Below are a few options you can choose from.
Step 2 – Install WordPress
Most of the places I’m recommending have a 1 button option to install WordPress… that’s why I chose them… for ease of use. The easiest to use are fatcow.com and bluehost.com. Bluehost is nice enough to have a video series on how you can use a variety of their products.
Here is a quick video on how to install WordPress on FatCow.

Step 3 – Install a Template
There are free templates (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/). Or there are paid themes. I’d personally go with a paid theme because you get more for your money. A good number of paid templates are optimized for both desktop computers, mobile and tablet devices. You need to consider what your audience is using. With that in mind, here’s a good mix of advanced template options you can choose from.
And that should do it. Remember, these are basic steps for setting up a website using wordpress on a hosted platform. We will go into more detail about the specifics of using wordpress later on.
